shot in sept 2006, our OTS for the month for our camera club..i chanced upon social workers giving free vaccination and medical assistance to local villagers. This child who had a kind of skin disease was afraid to be checked by the doctor.. Health insurance is virtually unheard of in the rural parts of the Philippines, what the govt and the NGO’s do is to organize medical missions as these in order to have some healthcare reach the poorest sections of the country.
